For Rosie, baking has always been about people, not just pastries.
When her daughter Priscilla was born, her kitchen became a place of experiments, late‑night recipes, and treats for family and friends.
Even as she moved through different careers—insurance agent, then at‑home daycare owner—baking never left. During her daycare years, she made it official and registered Bella Rose Sweets, turning a lifelong love into a real business she could grow.
As the daycare demands grew, Rosie felt it was time for a new chapter. She stepped away, helped her dad with his paperwork, and quietly looked for ways to blend her love of baking with a more sustainable lifestyle.
She visited other bakeries for sale, weighed the costs, checked equipment, and imagined what her own shop could be but nothing truly fit. Then came Manjar.
When Susana, Manjar’s previous owner, shared she was ready to retire, the timing felt meant to be. Within a week, they were signing papers. Manjar became the natural next step in Rosie’s story: a place where her home baking, business experience, and community heart could finally come together.

For years, Rosie spent her birthdays collecting toys for children in orphanages in Juárez instead of gifts for herself. She supported trainings for daycare owners and partnered with local advocacy efforts. That same spirit now lives inside Manjar.
Every cake, every class, every box of supplies is part of a bigger purpose: to create a warm, welcoming space where people feel cared for, celebrated, and inspired to make something beautiful of their own.
